I would like to do brush painting on my vacation.

I’m thinking of what I can take with me.

Last year I had the problem that the chinese colors from Maris, that I had in a palette were smoother and made my bag dirty

      because of the heat.
What can I take instead to make my pictures colored?

Thanks for this question! In fact, I had the same problems many times. I found Marie’s tubes are very easy to be broken. Now, I like using Jiang SiXu Tang’s natural pigment chips. They are light, portable, easy to use (dissolve in clean water), and the colours are much better too. I would recommend this for you. Another thing I like about these pigments are that you can buy colours separately according to you needs.

Nice that I’m not alone with the problem.

Thanks for the tip with the colors, but I could have come on it earlier to ask here.

I have my holiday over next week on monday, then go to crete for 3 weeks.

For the next time this is a very good idea.
I still have very small colored ink sticks, they should work too.
I would only need to take an extra inkstone with me, they have unfortunately weight.
