I know we use painting mats to help protect the table surface and to give some resistance to brush work on paper.

But is there something like a “seal mat” that helps give resistance to a seal impression, but has a bit of “give” or softness to it so that all parts of the seal are pressed accurately?

Also, is there a tool that helps us to keep a seal centered and level on an artwork?

      Thanks!

Agree with what David Reid said, you can use thick woollen blanket. 🙂

You can also consider the size L thicker painting mat from Inkston:

      Painting Mat

size L has thickness of 30 mm which is quite suitable.

you mean to put the stamp in the same position in different sheets? I believe that you can create a system similar to the centering of the sheets in the technique of engraving, to obtain the impression of many sheets in the same position.
in that case, maybe you can build a frame in cardboard …

anyway … now I think that would take spontaneity away from the final work …
