      Hi

I was wondering what the difference is between ‘Inkston 0809 Plus Xuan Paper’ and the ‘Inkston 0809 Xuan Paper’? I’ve noticed that there are a couple of papers with the same name difference but what makes it different? The percentage of tree used to make the paper?

My other question: what makes Song and Wenzhou paper so significant? The color, ingredients, absorption, … ?

      Thanks in advance

Plus is normally the 138 x 170cm size of paper which is nearly twice the size of the standard 100 x 50xm, see the paper size chart and explanation here:

      Xuan Paper Buyer Guide

the actual sizes are specified on the product descriptions:

      INKSTON 0809 Xuan Paper

      INKSTON 0809 Plus Xuan Paper

the Wenzhou papers and Japanese papers are from mulberry tree bark rather than the Qing Tan used in Xuan paper. The Song papers are a special blend and each one is different.

The paper made with mulberry tree bark is more water absorbent than other Xuan papers I suppose then?
