Based in Scotland and France, Europe, I teach the Chinese Arts and also sell a few materials online. I also run www.TheChineseArts.com , www.ChaoShao-an.com , www.RaggedyDragon.com and I wonder why the west is so stunted by The Chinese Art Materials markets because there never has been nor currently exists anywhere in Europe to buy the degree of Chinese Art Materials anywhere that one can find common place in China. The main element of my businesses are Teaching Chinese History and The Arts but the sales come in as Students wish to buy everything they need in one arena rather than hunt about endlessly for it. Acorn Planet dot com has died now and Guanghwa in London used to be a core center worthy of global travel to get to but since being tasken over and moving premises has shriveled into oblivion now. It is a very sad issue and thankfully we have ebay (sometimes NOT thankfully because of so many rogue sellers) but mainly Inkston.com, inkstone minus the final "e". For me they have provided stunning paper that was not ordinarily available on the web and also an ink stone that I had hunted for for 12 years, 14 actually and they had a variety of them for me to choose from. Ink sticks they've provided and now I am challenging them to hunt for me books on Chinese Verse and Poetry translation with Literal translation in English as well as Chinese.
