Everything in the other reviews is correct: beautiful color. Also, it has a beautiful aroma. However, I will be inquiring about buying aged Jin Bu Yi inkstick in order to be able to grind the ink faster. My inkstick has existential concerns about leaving this life. Coincidentally, so do I. The prospect of death is something I find odious. I will try reading Zhuangzi to it. However, I fear that my little Jin Bu Yi will be like me and resist the loss of identity as he (yes, my inkstick is gendered) loses his identity as he continues the life cycle. Bottom line: buy this inkstick and enjoy the little panda brush rest.
