Tea Origin: unlike our broad leaf Old Man E Pu Er tea, this tea uses tea sprigs. It was specially made for royal families in past. The tea is very tender and delicate. The longer the tea is preserved, the better the tea tastes. This tea for sale here is made 15 years ago. It has a very mature fragrance already. Nevertheless, you can preserve it for longer time and this will make the tea even better.

Flavour: it tastes very different from raw Pu Er tea. It is very smooth and friendly.

Colour of brewed Tea: dark red.

Comment: milder than common Pu Er teas

Craftsmanship: similar to fermented black tea, this Pu Er tea also needs certain temperature and humidity to ferment.

Pu Er Tea is from Yunnan Province in China. As early as 3000 years ago, it was recorded that local people in Yunnan province presented Pu Er tea to King Wu of Zhou 周武王. Since it has such long history, Pu Er tea is also referred to as ‘living-fossil’.

Pu Er tea plants grow on the mountainsides between 1000 to 2000 meters.
