These four famous ancient Chinese ladies are four great intellectuals in Chinese history:
- 班昭 Ban Zhao: 45 – 116, historian.
- 蔡文姬 Cai WenJi: 190s – 200s, poet and musician.
- 薛涛 Xue Tao: 768 – 831, poet.
- 李清照 Li QingZhao: 1084 – 1155/1156, alternatively 1081 – 1141, writer and poet.

Very nice starter ink sticks – designs are beautiful. Definitely recommended for beginning level use! Lighter tones.

This type of ink stick would be good for student level, or beginners level in Chinese calligraphy it’s not high quality but it’s not horrible it’s in between.

I got this for a friend as a Christmas gift, what a lovely item, even better than I thought, so much so that I wanted to keep it for myself, but eventually parted with it. Needless to say my friend was delighted.
